Christine Casey

Christine Casey is the founder of Dragon’s Eye Tours and your Tour Guide. Her passions are ancient history, legend, mythology, pilgrimage, archaeology, sacred sites, the mysteries and magic.

A traditionally initiated Wiccan priestess of the Alexandrian tradition, Christine now follows an eclectic spiritual path.  She has a deep love and interest in Celtic and pre-Celtic history and has spent years researching sacred places in Britain and France, and more recently in Scandinavia,  visiting many ancient sites and collecting their stories and traditions. This tour will cover some of the most beautiful and significant of these including a few lesser known to the general public. Her deep reverence, infectious enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge will make this tour a truly special experience.

An ardent and experienced world traveller, she has lived and worked in various countries including the UK, Switzerland, Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Over the years, Christine has been employed as a recruitment consultant, journalist and as a senior executive assistant working in both the private sector and government. This included a 10 year stint working overseas in Australian embassies.  Christine is down-to-earth, great fun, and loves all animals especially cats. She is widely read particularly in the fields of archaeology, history and modern paganism and reads tarot.

Bev Murray

Bev would like to begin with a marvellous quote by Thich Nhat Hanh that is at the root of her attraction to all things Craft related.  "People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air but to walk on earth.  Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don't even recognise:  a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the curious eyes of a child - our own two eyes. All is a miracle".

Bev loves the Wiccan path for its challenge to be in the here and now, connected to this earth, walking with nature and learning directly from it. She believes we use the elements and energies of earth because inherent in them is this great miracle and this at base is the core of our Magick!

Bev's journey into Wicca began in Adelaide many moons ago with Wiccan High Priest, Tim Hartridge, and then took her to the United Kingdom where she worked with both Maxine Sanders and separately with Alex Sanders, the founder of the Alexandrian Wiccan tradition. Following her return to Australia she did some lone work combined with general spiritual searching and eventually began a coven of her own with her partner from which new covens have been born. She now finds herself in the enviable position of Crone working mostly with her husband and offering what advice she can to others on their Wiccan and/or personal spiritual journeys. She has written for many eclectic and general publications and continues to write mainly on Astrology, gives workshops in meditation, ritual and life skills and runs a successful Astrology and Tarot business.

Bev has four grown and joy-giving children and a little dog that looks uncannily like Anubis. She holds Degrees in Comparative Religion, English Literature, Publishing and Editing and Teaching. Her meditation knowledge has been enhanced through teachings directly from the Dalai Lama. She likes the quiet life, spending time with nature, sharing her knowledge with others in a relaxed and intimate way and absorbing all the beauteous things that are then given back to her in these exchanges. She is ever in awe of the power of natural magick and the inspiring presence of Goddess and God in her life. She loves that Wicca gives us all room to tap into our individual heritage and, whilst at base an Alexandrian, she is a very eclectic witch. Her genetic heritage is Welsh, Indian, Jewish and English. She has a fascination with all things Celtic, Egyptian, Kabbalistic and Hindu and with great delight expresses all of these in her practice.

To sum up, Bev believes that life is about attitude ... it's the only thing we really have any ultimate say about ... staying positive is important, smiling is imperative, being joyful is fundamental, loving is absolute ...

And to end with a favourite quote:

"Witchcraft ... is a spiritual path.

You walk it for nourishment of the soul,

To commune with the life force of the universe,

And to thereby better know your own life" - Christopher Penczak
