Professor Ronald Hutton - Guest Guide for Glastonbury Ronald is Professor of History at the University of Bristol and was formerly a Fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford. He has taught at Bristol since 1981. He has been described as the foremost modern scholar of enchantment and is a leading authority on ancient and medieval paganism and magic, the ritual year in Britain, the Arthurian myths and 16th and 17th century British history. He has published 14 books on aspects of political, social, cultural and religious history including studies of the history of the ritual year in Britain, an analysis of Siberian shamanism, the first history of modern British paganism and his latest, a history of the Druids. Ronald is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and was appointed a Commissioner of English Heritage in 2009. Maria Wheatley, John Drews and Busty Taylor - Guest Guides for Avebury Maria is a part-time tutor at Swindon College where she teaches a variety of holistic courses including dowsing. She has been studying earth mysteries for over 16 years and has published numerous articles on earth energies. John has been researching the Avebury World Heritage site for the past nine years and now has a huge knowledge of the Henge. He has acquired some fascinating new insights in the field of landscape archaeology and is currently writing a book that may shed new light on the mystery of Silbury Hill. Busty is a well known crop circle researcher and photographer. Maria, John and Busty regularly conduct tours of Avebury Henge and nearby sites.
