Professor Ronald Hutton - Guest Guide for Glastonbury

Ronald is Professor of History at the University of Bristol and was formerly a Fellow of Magdalen College, Oxford.  He has taught at Bristol since 1981.  He has been described as the foremost modern scholar of enchantment and is a leading authority on ancient and medieval paganism and magic, the ritual year in Britain, the Arthurian myths and 16th and 17th century British history.

He has published 15 books on aspects of political, social, cultural and religious history including studies of the history of the ritual year in Britain, an analysis of Siberian shamanism, the first history of modern British paganism and a history of the Druids.  Ronald is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries, a Commissioner of English Heritage and was recently appointed a Fellow of the British Academy.

Maria Wheatley and Busty Taylor - Guest Guides for Avebury

Maria is a part-time tutor at Swindon College where she teaches a variety of holistic courses including dowsing.  She has been studying earth mysteries for over 17 years and has published numerous articles on earth energies.   Busty is a well known crop circle researcher and photographer.  Maria and Busty regularly conduct tours of Avebury Henge and nearby sites.  They both have an excellent knowledge of the archaeology and history of Avebury.
