Druid Priestess and Living Druidry: Magical Spirituality for the Wild Soul by Emma Restall-Orr

Both these beautifully written works tell Emma's personal journey as a female Druid.

 

The books of Janet Farrar, Stewart Farrar and Gavin Bone

There are so many excellent books written by Janet, Stewart and Gavin, it is difficult to choose but I would certainly recommend "The Healing Craft", "The Pagan Path", "A Witches Bible Compleat", "Progressive Witchcraft", "The Witches' God" and "The Witches' Goddess".  I would suggest a search of Amazon's selection of their works.  Their website also contains much information and a number of interesting articles.  Janet and Gavin are our Guest Guides for two days during the Irish tour.  

 

Spirited - Taking Paganism Beyond the Circle by Gede Parma

An excellent guide giving crucial advice on witchcraft, spellcraft ethics, coven and solitary work and incorporating one's spiritual beliefs into all the important areas of life.  Gede was our Guest Guide in 2010 for the duration of both the West Country and Irish tours.  

     

Britain BC by Francis Pryor

A fabulous book examining life in Britain before the coming of the Romans including information about the great monuments of Stonehenge, Avebury and West Kennet Long Barrow,Silbury Hill and Windmill Hill in England and Newgrange and Navan Fort in Ireland.

 

Avebury - Sun, Moon and Earth by Maria Wheatley and Busty Taylor

Researcher's Maria and Busty have written a book highlighting their beliefs that the ancient architects of Avebury were very aware of the earth's whispering energies and subtle geometries and integrated them into the foundation plans of the monuments using their esoteric knowledge.  Both Maria and Busty are our Guest Guides for Avebury.

 

Wicca – A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham

Integrates both the magical arts and the religious aspects of Wicca into an harmonious whole. Teaches those new to the Craft how to achieve a magical rapport with the life-energy of the Universe - a good book for beginners

 

The Triumph of the Moon: A History of Modern Pagan Witchcraft by Ronald Hutton

A brilliantly researched and thoroughly engaging book which traces the evolution of modern paganism, particularly Wicca.  Ronald is our Guest Guide for Glastonbury.

A comprehensive study of the history and culture of the Ancient Celts including religious systems and the arts.

 

Stations of the Sun by Ronald Hutton

Pagan Britain by Ronald Hutton

His latest publication, this book is a comprehensive study of British religious beliefs from the Old Stone Age to the coming of Christianity.
